Ethical Leadership Program

Thank you so for being part of the Richard Richards Ethical Leadership Program from Weber State University.

The Richard Richards Ethical Leadership Program is a professional-development leadership program offered through Weber State’s Richard Richards Institute for Ethics. Its purpose is to help participants develop a clear understanding of their personal values and leadership principles, and learn to communicate those principles in ways that can inspire and motivate individuals, teams, and organizations.

The training involves
Ethical leadership: Participants examine what they stand for as leaders and how values should guide leadership decisions.

Interactive learning: The program uses highly participatory dialogue, discussion, and practicums, rather than being purely lecture-based.

Leadership communication: A major goal is learning how to articulate your values and ideas so that you can motivate others and facilitate organizational change.

Leadership research: The program draws on the work of James Kouzes and Barry Posner, authors of The Leadership Challenge.

Participants who complete the program receive a Certificate of Completion that can be included on a résumé. It is not a Weber State academic course and does not provide college credit.
